Dr. Tips is known as a "clinician's clinician" as he is the study.gif one many doctors and practitioners turn to for their personal health concerns as well as for his renowned 2nd Opinion Program for graduates of the New Dimensions In Herbal Healing Training Course. In 1966 he began studying the tools and principles of natural health including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and herbs. In 1971, he began more formal studies with many of the world's renowned natural health leaders, including: Dr. Herbert Shelton (Fasting, Diet), Dr. Bernard Jensen (Iridology, Naturopathy), Stanley Burroughs (Cleansing Diet, Color Therapy), Dr. Paul Eck (Tissue Mineral Ratios), Dr. Alan Beardall (Kinesiology), Dr. Wilhelm Langreder (German Nosode Homeopathy), Dr. Francisco Eizayaga (Clinical Homeopathy), Dr. Robin Murphy (Classical Homeopathy), and A.S. “Doc” Wheelwright (Sclerology, Systemic Herbology).

Most notably was his work as protégé of master herbalist and biochemist, A. Stuart “Doc” Wheelwright, the founder of Sclerology and formulator of systemic herbal products. More information about Doc Wheelwright’s system of herbal healing is presented in this site’s Health Professionals section, and  more details in the book New Dimensions In Herbal Healing. And about Sclerology, the science of interpreting the red lines in the whites of the eyes for their reflexive health implications, can be found at www.sclerology-institute.org.

Dr. Tips worked directly with Wheelwright for six years at the pinnacle and culmination of Wheelwright’s remarkable life.

His studies also took him from an undergraduate degree at the University of Texas to the Occidental Institute Research Foundation (Electro Acupuncture, Vega Test, Mora Therapy) in Vancouver, BC.  He is nationally certified as a Clinical Nutritionist by the esteemed International & American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN).   Dr. Tips is licensed to practice clinical nutrition in New York.  He is a member of the National Center for Homeopathy (Washington, D.C.) and the International Foundation for Homeopathy (Seattle).

In 1980, after 14 years of study, Dr. Tips began consulting in the applications of systemic herbology, classical homeopathy, and clinical nutrition in what is now internationally known as The Apple-A-Day Healing Triad Program® as explained in the Consultations section of this site.  His practice continues today in Austin, Texas and all over the world where he consults with people by phone and in person. Appointments with Dr. Tips are often turning points in people's lives.  He views them as doorways for people to reclaim their ability to live  in health and fulfill their life-missions in more optimal health.

Education is a primary facet of Dr. Tips’ work. He does not subscribe to the “doctor on the pedestal, priest craft” method whereby knowledge is withheld from people or obscured by polysyllabic labeling of people as diseases, or the practice of medicine whereby insurance companies dictate to the doctor what treatments are right for the individual.

" From the natural health perspective, each person is biochemically individual, emotionally individual, and mentally and  spiritually individual; and must be treated accordingly. This is why natural health is a creative, rather than a standardized process."
- Dr.Jack Tips

Through his writings and methods, he seeks to dispel the errant myths and ‘health’ practices that result in anything less than the opportunity to completely correct symptom patterns.

“Time with Dr. Tips is always an eye-opener whether it’s with his writings or with him in person.  He is a beacon for sharing insights on health, wisdom, truth, and freedom.”
Dr. Edmond Tomlinson
